Get the editorial support you need to advance your mission
Are you a Christian writer or author (whether independent or working for a ministry, nonprofit, publisher, or media company)? As a professional editor and proofreader, I serve as a publishing partner who can help refine and elevate your written words so you can shine your light for Christ.
“And those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the sky above; and those who turn many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.” (Daniel 12:3, ESV)

TAKE A LOOKMeet the editor
Hello. I’m Abby—an introverted homebody and boy mom times three with a soft spot for books, podcasts, green tea, poetry, nature, curated playlists, and running.
The name Shining Waters Editorial is inspired by one of my favorite childhood novels, Anne of Green Gables. Anne is a smart, imaginative girl who constantly “edits” place names to make them more appealing. At the beginning of the novel, she decides Barry’s Pond should be called Lake of Shining Waters. I love her bright spirit and the image of glittering water—they’re great reminders of our call to reflect God’s light.
I have nearly two decades of professional editorial experience, along with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and communications and a completed minor in writing and publishing. I’m a member of multiple professional communities, including The Christian PEN: Proofreaders and Editors Network. I’m also on the board for the nonprofit Indy Book Project, which works to give all children in Central Indiana access to books at home.
I have a heart to use my professional gifts for good. By offering editing and proofreading for Christian writers, I hope to uplift people and contribute to a brighter world.
Come on in, the water’s fine
